COVID-19 Update Letterlock  Abbotsford, BC

Letterlock remains open for receiving and shipping commercial  goods on both sides of the border.

In the meantime there are some procedue changes we are putting in place to ensure the safety of our staff.

We will NOT accept cash for any shipments.  You will need to pay by credit or debit card.

We are now a contactless drop off and receiving location.   When you arrive you will see the instructions.  Basically we have set up a location in our lobby where you will be receiving or dropping off your package.  Our staff will maintain the proper social distance in communicating with you.   They will continue to provide labels and accept credit or debit payments as usual. 

Letterlock thanks you for your patience while we all adjust to this new reality for the next while.  We look forward to providing you with the excellent service that you have experienced in the past. 

 

As a result of what is happening here are some other items to keep in mind. 
1. Delivery Times
As a result of the Coronavirus pandemic and measures imposed by governments around the world some carriers report capacity constraints.For example, FedEx reports additional transit times for selected countries. 
Recommended Action: You may want to add a note at checkout to inform your international customer that it may take a few extra days for shipments to be delivered due to the pandemic.
2. Carrier Rates
To date, shipping rates have been very stable, and at Letterlock we pride ourselves with providing you the best rates. That said, some carriers are starting to add surcharges to some international routes as their costs are increasing due to the sharp reduction in international commercial and cargo capacity. These surcharges are not specific to Letterlock  but apply to all vendors.
3. Embargoes
Some governments have limited access to their countries or entirely closed their borders. In addition, international and local carriers are updating their delivery policies in light of the pandemic. Currently the following countries have forms of embargoes:  Canada, Deutchse Post, England, Italy, France, Hong Kong, Japan, Australia, South Korea, Chile, etc  If you have concerns check with our team.
